"It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness." Such a good quote! True, isn't it? I'm supportive of optimists, but don't overdo it by creating illusions for oneself. Nonetheless, being optimistic is good =). That quote above was by Jeremy Lim, the young advocate of NKF suffering from brittle bone disease. Indeed, when we are in any situation whereby there seems to be no way out, always look on the bright side, and do our best to help those around us as well. Just like Jeremy, who, instead of going into depression over his disease which prevents him from growing up physically like other kids, aspires to be a genetic scientist so as to help other people suffering from the same disease as him. Always look on the bright side of life! No matter what happens, there is someone out there going through something worse, so don't grumble and don't frown =D

I shall end this entry with a joke that got me laughign non-stop in the middle of class. Thanks to Zhang Fan's readers' Digest. All that laughter got Qin Yuan thinking I was a little off my rocker but oh, what the heck =D!

Things you don't want to hear under anaesthetic:
*This patient has already had children, am I right?
*You'd better save that. We'll need it for the autopsy.
*Incredible! Now can you make his leg twitch?
*Wait a minute; if this is his spleen, then what's that?
*Could you stop that thing from beating; it's throwing my concentration off.
